6 year old Check-Up

Since JD was 3 the last time he had a check up, I figured it was time for a visit with good ole Dr. Barnes-Clark. The last time we saw her, JD threw a Monster sized tantrum that left us both running out of the office in tears. Needless to say, I was a bit apprehensive about this trip.





He was too.















After a few minutes in the room waiting for the doc, he loosened up:










Then the Nurse came in and requested he change into this hot little gown:

Do you know the cool thing about being locked in a room for 25 minutes with your son? It's a bonding experience:

I showed him how Mommy's pupils changed

with this cool little instrument on the wall:

And nearly cried when he did this dance on the table:

Look carefully at the paper on the exam table in this last picture. Do you see the wrinkles on it? JD wouldn't have lived to see 6 if that paper was in our home. The sound of it crinkling and echoing in that little exam room, was enough for this Mommy to feel insane. :)

The Results:
Height - 46.5" - 60th percentile
Weight - 51 lbs - 70th percentile
Eye sight - Perfect
Hearing - Perfect (When he wants it to be!)
